Characterful and distinctive themed chess pieces by Studio Anne Carlton of England. Depicting the Crusades. These pieces portray specific crusades to restore Christian control of the Holy Land that were fought between 1095 and 1291. Moulded from a crushed stone composite, the level of detail is simply staggering from every angle. Each piece is painstakingly painted by hand and are supplied in a compartmented branded box. The chess board in this set is equally special. Made in Europe from solid cubes of Wenge and Maple, this board is beautifully hand finished and coated in a light robust layer of lacquer.
